The 4 R’s
The tiny house movement is founded on ideas of sustainability, minimalism, and living on a needs-basis. Since Luke was building a tiny house, he had to follow these rules. Through this project, Luke began realizing how much waste we all produce on a daily basis—some of which isn’t a waste at all!

Many people live by the four Rs—rethink, reduce, reuse, and recycle —to live a more sustainable life. Whether or not Luke intended to be a model citizen for sustainability, he ultimately became one after they discovered that his tiny house is made up of almost 75% recycled materials. Not only did this save Luke a ton of money, but it was also in line with the general idea of the sustainability movement.
