People’s Wild ER Stories That Give Us Newfound Appreciation for Doctors

This former ER patient is as tough as they come. The guy in this story works as a roofer and experienced a near-fatal accident while on a roofing job. He was hot-tarring a roof when one of his guys accidentally kicked over the bucket of searing hot tar. The hot tar fell over right onto the guy’s face. We can only imagine the dangerous amount of pain he was in. 

Despite having what was most likely second-degree burns on his face, he kept his cool. This guy even drove himself to the hospital to get treatment. We appreciate putting on a brave face, but sometimes asking for help is okay. Sheesh. Anyway, he walks into the ER with burns on his face and plays it off like nothing even happened. At least he wasn’t too proud to get medical attention!
