People’s Wild ER Stories That Give Us Newfound Appreciation for Doctors

While some ER stories are hilarious, others are tragic. This storyteller is an X-ray tech student who did a rotational in an emergency room. The most haunting scene they saw during their time there will never leave their memory. A woman was in a car accident and had to be rushed to the ER due to her injuries. 

The woman had lost her lower right leg, but paramedics were able to salvage it. Our storyteller witnessed the patient get rushed in on a gurney, followed by her leg. Seeing a detached limb is not something to be taken lightly. To see that in real life is seriously traumatizing for everyone involved.
