People’s Wild ER Stories That Give Us Newfound Appreciation for Doctors

The healthcare industry is not for the faint of heart. There are a lot of situations where doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other professionals have to deal with the dark and dirty parts of humanity. This person works in operating rooms and has seen plenty of weird, gross things in her lifetime. The most memorable instance was when she was prepping a necrotic foot for an operation. 

The cells on the foot were so dead and decayed that some of the toes fell off when she picked it up. We have no idea if the patient in this story was alive or not. Either way, that’s pretty disturbing. Healthcare professionals, we salute you for all that you have to deal with on a daily basis. Not everyone can do it, that’s for sure.
